Daily news (10 messages a day) on cognitive sciences
The information sent in les échos du Risc comes from different sources: either people send us information about theirs labs, courses or we take what is the most relevant for us in other lists we subscribe to, on the web
We try to cover all the disciplines of cognitive sciences: psychology, linguistics, neurosciences, philosophy, AI, connectionism.

You can subscribe to this list with the
online form and choose if you want to receive the 10 messages we send everyday (echos) or only one, containing a summary of the 10 messages content (echos_digest).

If you want to share information about your activities with the community, you can send us announcements by email to
pourinfos@risc.cnrs.fr, preferably with as precise a subject as possible (so that it is not considered as a spam).
Here are the most frequent headings and the minimum information you have to mention for each of them (the titles between [] are the headings we use in "les échos"):
- one-day workshop [journee]: title, date and place
- seminar [semin]: name of lab, date and place (at the latest on Wednesday evening for the following week)
- colloquium [coll]: title, date and place ; if CfP, deadline for submission
- school [ecole]: title, date and place ; if call to subscription, deadline for application
- publication [parution]: title, author, publisher, year of publication
- journal [revue]: if CfP, title of special issue and deadline for subscription
- PhD or HDR defense [these/HDR soutenance]: author, title, date and place
- PhD subject or fellowship [these sujet/bourse]: theme, place, deadline for application
- job or training [poste/stage]: area, duration, place
- prize [prix]: name of foundation, deadline to submit
Colloquia and one-day workshops
Once they've been announced in "les échos du Risc",
colloquia and
one-day workshops are posted on our website, classified by chronological order on specific pages.
Seminars
Seminars are listed by alphabetical order and linked with their annual program.
You can also consult them in the form of
agenda (possibility to display only one geographic area) or
calendar (iCalendar format)
A weekly seminar, workshop and conference program in France and abroad (included in "les échos du Risc") is sent every Thursday afternoon for the week to come.
If you want to subscribe to the program without "les échos", you just have to send an email to risc@risc.cnrs.fr entitled subscription to the seminar program
Post information about your seminars: send us title, abstract, speaker, date, place, hour, organizers at
pourinfos@risc.cnrs.fr at least on Wednesday the week before the event you want to announce.

Terms and conditions:
There are no charges for borrowing books or video. If you cant come to the Risc, we can send documents by post mail, youll just have to pay the post fees to send them back here.
You can borrow 3 books or other printed documents for 3 weeks, and 2 videos for 1 week.
Acquisitions:
You can suggest us ideas for the acquisition of books and movies in your area of research.
Please send us your PhD and HDR memoirs to enrich our collection.
Private/public screenings:
Some of our videos cannot be borrowed since their copyright does not allow it. You can watch them in our premises either alone (there is a TV dedicated to video screening in the library) or for collective screenings (in the conference room if it is free).

Meeting rooms (from 10 to 200 seats) are available in the center of Paris to facilitate your scientific encounters, we can book them for you. You can join us if you have questions on this service or you can fill in the booking

We can also bring you technical support for your trainings on specific tools (e.g. : Matlab, Bayesian networks) and, since we have quite a good knowledge of the community, we can help you to find skilled teachers for your courses.
We own necessary equipment to organize videoconferences in our meeting room in La Maison de la recherche (12 seats)
