| summary | In this talk, I will present two studies on the impact of goals on the definition of "reward" in human reinforcement learning. In the first half of the talk, I will show how introducing intrinsic rewards into models of human learning and decision-making can help explain context-sensitive valuation. In the second half of the talk, I will present an ongoing project addressing the mechanisms underlying goal-dependent reward instantiation in human learners. |
