| summary | We propose to investigate the field of ecolinguistics via an interdisciplinary workshop, through a series of lectures and readings. The aim of this workshop is to contribute to a better understanding of the ecological approach in linguistics from a non-partisan point of view. We will thus explore the historical relation of ecolinguistics to sociolinguistics, and the possible links to linguistic and demographic co-evolution, linguistic and genetic variation. |
