| summary | There has been a long tradition of scholars trying to force Philippine languages into various typological slots in terms of argument structure, especially nominative/accusative. Of course Philippine languages vary in interesting ways. This paper shows that once you take into account a set of factors that enter into degrees of transitivity, Kapampangan emerges with a squeaky clean transitive system. |
