| summary | In my talk I will try to give at least partial answers to the following questions: First, why don't we use colours in formal systems, especially in logic? Second, were there any serious historical attempts to use colour in logic? Third, would there be any use in including colours in logic, and if so, what might it be? I will certainly not argue that we should have a coloured logic; but I will show that some sense can be made of the idea of such a logic. My considerations are best understood against a Wittgensteinian or Peircean background |
