| summary | In this talk we will introduce a temporal logic with ceteris paribus modalities. Our principal aim here is to show how this approach can be also exploited in order to clarify the ockhamist response to the future contingents problem, in a similar but slightly different way than A. Prior did (Past, Present and Future). An interesting feature of this approach consists also in the fact that it can give a fine-grained alternative classical modal account of some aspects of temporal reasoning highlighted in supervaluationist and post-semantics approaches. |
