summaryTo set up our proposed experiments, we will discuss a  pathophysiological view of autism, and the evidence supporting this  view, that links the core deficits of communicative and social function with abnormalities of praxis and other skilled motor  function. We will relate this view to what is known about abnormal cerebral connectivity in autism and will present preliminary data from  ongoing studies.
