| summary | The subventricular zone (SVZ) of the lateral ventricle contains stem cells that continue producing neurons throughout adulthood. This regions is however heterogeneous with neural stem cells located in defined regions of the SVZ being biased to acquire specific fates. I’ll present our current work aiming at mapping and sampling this heterogeneity. I’ll then illustrate how analyzing the SVZ as a 3D structure allows the identification of generic or lineage specific-transcription factors involved in the control of forebrain neural stem cells behaviors in health and pathologies. |
