summaryJavier Morante will be here to tell us about his latest work on the development of the Drosophila optic lobe. He studied for years the setting-up of the color vision circuit in the fruit fly, with specific emphasis on the transcription factor Pax6. His most recent (unpublished) work highlights a very original process where microRNAs expressed in glial cells control neurogenesis progression during neuronal differentiation in the optic lobe.
