summaryWe tend to think of memory as a psychological function for re-visiting our experiences in the past. However, our memories also hold information that is useful to guide expectations about the relevant events still to unfold in our current context. We have been investigating whether and how our brains put our past experiences to work in order to tune perception and dynamically optimise our interactions with the external environment.
