summaryTypically, differentiated neurons do not divide or change their identity.  However, dorsal root ganglion neuron of zebrafish larvae  transdifferenitate in vivo into sympathetic ganglion neurons. Activity and the neurotrophin, BDNF, regulate the transdifferentiation process.
