| summary | First, his talk will take the form of a dialogue, lasting one hour, between a set of fictional characters whose archetypes will be more or less familiar. The reason for this is to convey ideas not in didactic form but rather as illuminated in conversation, so that the chain of statement and objection can be pursued further back than when simply listening to a lecture, objecting in one's imagination.
Second, for the same reason, just as long as the dialogue itself will be set aside for questions, in effect continuing the dialogue, but with real rather than fictional characters. |
