summaryAn overview of neuropsychological research in neurological restoration in Cuba is provided and is illustrated through two concrete examples : The value of neuropsychological assessments as predictors of cognitive changes after stem cells implantation in stroke patients (after six months, one and six years). The use of psychophysiology (Event-Related Potentials and skin conductance responses) for an objective evaluation of cognitive improvements during the rehabilitation process or as a consequence of different interventions in patients with neurological pathologies. The talk will finalize with a short description of the Cuban Human Brain Mapping Project and its implications for neuropsychological research.
