summaryCognitive flexibility seems to be one of those highly desirable, if not required, attributes of students (and employees) as cognitive flexibility is expected to facilitates processes of dealing with novelty and adjustments to a rapidly changing environment. In this talk I will address questions like: What do we mean by cognitive flexibility? Is this really such a new idea? Do we need new tests to measure it? If so, how should measures of cognitive flexibility be different from traditional approaches to assess cognitive functioning? What should we expect from such measures? How should they look like?
