| summary | In Pavlovian conditioning, a conditioned stimulus (CS) is paired with an unconditioned stimulus (US). When the US is aversive, the CS then comes to elicit conditioned fear responses. I will present a set of studies that show that the amygdala stores sensory-specific CS-US associations, and is involved in the processing of the the CS-US interval an temporal expectancy. |
