summaryThe goal of this project is to better understand the physiological mechanism of action of PA by directly investigating whether PA affects interhemispheric balance. I will present our general approach in order to answer some important questions to achieve our goal: Does PA alter endogenous and/or exogenous attentional orienting? Are attentional changes paralleled by changes in interhemispheric balance (ERPs)? If so, what is the source of these changes? Does PA differentially alter endogenous or exogenous attentional orienting depending on the site of the brain lesion? Is interhemispheric balance in right brain lesioned patients affected by PA, and are changes in interhemispheric balance and attentional orienting correlated? And then, I will show the first steps: procedure and the first data (pilot data) with EEG.
