the second speaker is Eve Marder, professor and Chair of Biology at Brandeis University, Massachusetts,USA; member of the US National Academy of Science, former president of the Society of Neuroscience, winner of the Women in Neuroscience Mika Salpeter Lifetime Achievement Award (etc) and her topic is 'The crisis in science publishing: What makes a great paper and why, and how important should it be where a paper is published? What has changed in the past 50 years and what should change in the future?'
Dr Marder is a great speaker and noteworthy researcher and it would be a shame to miss these opportunities to see her present her work and discuss science publishing. We hope you can make it! |
