| summary | The diagnostics of human tumors is undergoing a rapid transition from morphologic to molecular evaluation. A second transition is taking place from the examination of individual tumor markers to omics platform based analyses. Recent studies have proven especially methylation analysis to be highly useful for the classification of human brain tumors. Topic of this talk is the presentation of a brain tumor classifier based on entirely machine generated and computer analyzed data with extraordinary diagnostic precision. The potential of such approach for the future diagnosis of sarcomas will be discussed. |
