| summary | The current idea of group memory is based on the idea of shared mental agency, in particular collaborative remembering. It is also accepted that colaborative remembering needs metacognition. In this talk, I will explore what kind of metamemory is involved in collaborative remembering. Is the metamemory involved the metamemory of each individual involved in the task, or is it an emergent group mental capacity? In other words, is there a group metamemory? |
