| summary | In this talk I present how pupillometry can be used to investigate a myriad of psychologically interesting questions. Recent technological developments have made pupillometry a cheap and easy method of obtaining reliable, dynamic measures of affective and cognitive processing, allowing this tool to be used to investigate such topics as cognitive conflict, pain, attention, language processing, and many others. I provide an overview of this method with a brief history of the technique, discuss important methodological considerations regarding how to implement an eye tracker study, and examples of eye tracker studies in which I used pupillometry to address questions related to cognitive-conflict. |
