summaryOscillations are important for the different phases of memory from encoding to consolidation. Notably, neuronal activity is replayed in subsequent sleep during short lasting 200Hz oscillations called sharp- waves ripples. I will first show that we can use brain-computer interface to change the create artificial memory during sleep and more specially to change the emotional valence of a location during sleep. I will also present results on the role of brain oscillations in emotional regulation. I will show that breathing is an important drive for brain oscillations and that the regular breathing-related oscillation in the prefrontal cortex observed during freezing is involved in the maintenance of fear.
