| summary | Influential theoretical views consider close connections between perception, action, and conceptual knowledge. In the light of such views, my research focuses on the interrelations that may exist between action and object representations. I will give an overview of three lines of work: 1) the cognitive and cerebral organization of action representations; 2) the role of action in object concepts; 3) the role of action in object semantic categories. Each line will be illustrated with recent findings from one representative experimental protocol. |
