summaryI will present a research program including several electroencephalographic (EEG) studies assessing the effects of different social variables on feedback processing. In one set of studies, we manipulated visual characteristics of the presented feedback stimuli to assess bottom-up driven effects of social information. In a second set, we created a social cover story to assess top-down driven effects of social comparison information. Both manipulations affected feedback ERPs in different ways, which will be discussed in in this talk.
