| summary | Memories make up the person that we are. They are dynamic, changing day by day, requiring that our brain integrate new information with past experiences. But how are memories encoded in neural networks? How is their structure kept for a lifetime in our brain? The main interest of our laboratory is to understand the neural basis for how an everyday experience is transformed into in a long-lasting memory. In this talk I will explain how our lab is leveraging cutting-edge techniques, such as high-resolution brain imaging, to piece together how neural cells encode different features of memory. |
