| summary | All living things must move in space to survive. Our actions in space and with the things in it form the foundation of all thought. The foundation, not the entire edifice. Evidence will be brought from research on the brain, on language, on gesture, and on the ways we think, communicate, and create using the cognitive tools we put in the world to augment our minds. Interactions with those tools, with gesture, and even with language are often internal and not easily decomposed, presenting challenges to current AI. |
