summaryThroughout the day, we spend a lot of time looking at other people. Some of them, such as elite athletes or dancers are so flexible that they can do the splits without much difficulty. Others, however, can barely touch their shoes with the fingers when their legs are extended. In my talk, I will present the results of a series of behavioral experiments showing that perception of someone else’s movements is influenced by knowledge about his/her flexibility, not only when we consciously learn about it, but also when we unconsciously learn about it.
