| summary | Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) present exciting opportunities for individuals with mobility impairments and cognitive disorders, as well as for healthy users who seek innovative ways to interact with technology. Despite their potential, the development and widespread adoption of BCIs face significant hurdles due to technical challenges and the variability of neural responses and cognitive functions among users. In this talk, I will highlight the importance of human factors research in shaping effective BCI training protocols. Additionally, I will present some of our recent studies that explore the impact of gamification on user experience and performance in BCI applications. |
