| summary | Our group has been investigating neocortical mechanisms for sensory perception. We have been using the mouse for our biological experiments, owing to the powerful set of genetic and optical technologies enabling imaging studies of the dynamics of >10,000 individual neurons across multiple cortical areas in behaving mice. My talk will present two recent experiments probing the large-scale neural dynamics underlying sensory cortical coding, drawing parallels to human brain dynamics where possible. I will also discuss the multiple imaging innovations that have made these and other upcoming studies possible. |
