| summary | The SARTRE4 project deals with European road users’ attitudes, perceptions, opinions, needs, experiences and expectations with respect to road trafic risk.
The project will address issues such as mobility experiences, perception of safety needs by different types of road users; opinions and experiences about speeding, impaired driving; attitudes towards motorcycle riders, pedestrians and other road users. It is based on a common representative survey to be conducted in each participating member state, and a shared analysis of the large database
The information will be useful for comparing the relative standing of member states on the issues examined. It will also aid assessing citizens’ acceptance of EU (and national) road safety policies, the limitations or successes of existing road safety measures, or support for new measures and policies. As such SARTRE4 may be viewed as a building block of ERSO, the European Road Safety Observatory. |
