| summary | The aim of this seminar is to bring awareness on the human and psychological dimensions of disasters. We will focus on how concepts, tools and methods from the human sciences in general (and from psychology and cognitive sciences in particular) have been (and can be) used to understand how human communities react to situations of extreme danger. This seminar will consist of 10 sessions of 2 hours, with one hour devoted to the intervention of a specialist and another hour with critical reading and discussion of fundamental texts of the field. The seminar is organized by Guillaume Dezecache (guillaume.dezecache@uca.fr), hosted by the Université Clermont Auvergne, UFR Psychologie, Sciences Sociales et Sciences de l’Éducation, Laboratoire de Psychologie Sociale et Cognitive (LAPSCO UMR 6024), and supported by CAP2025. |
